Hale Farm and Village

Hale Farm & Village in Bath is a living history museum nestled in the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley National Park!

We visited during the Harvest Festival and found it to be a unique educational experience! We saw how to make apple cider and apple butter. We learned about candle making, pottery, glassworks, brooms, dyeing fibers and so much more! There is a horse-driven hay and cart ride through the village, a country store and a café that sells pies. They also have pumpkins and funnel cakes for sale!

Hale Village offers an opportunity for you and your kids to explore 19th century life in the Western Reserve together! The campus includes 32 historic structures, has craft and trade demonstrations, farm animals and gardens. There are costumed interpreters who provide a look into daily life on the farm.

This weekend (Oct. 12 & 13) is their Harvest Festival! All the demonstrations are fall themed and provide a look into everyday harvest-time chores, traditions, and foods of 19th century northeast Ohio. Interactive opportunities are available across the historic sites and grounds for the whole family to experience the work and play of autumn!

Some areas are a bit hard to get around with a stroller but most areas are manageable.
