Ravenna Community Playground
The Ravenna Community Playground is a wooden castle playground full of cool stuff! As you walk across the drawbridge, you step into a world of imagination! There are lots of different things to do for big and little kids.
The are all kinds of secret passageways to explore between the upper and lower level. The upper level has tall railings, so I never felt nervous with the toddler exploring as the big kids were climbing, balancing and swinging.
There is also a whole area for little kids with a mini town, a climbing mound and a train play structure.
For the bigger kids, there is a rock wall, a pirate ship, ropes to scale, a tire swing and more! The whole playground area is astroturf, which is really nice!
There is a nice covered pavilion surrounded by wild flower fields and a restroom facility. My 1, 4 and 5 year old had a great time here, but there were a lot of older kids enjoying too. It's also located right next to the Portage Hike & Bike Trail, which offers beautiful scenery this time of year. It's definitely worth a little drive to check out!
