Akron Rubber Ducks

The Akron Rubber Ducks play at Canal Park at 300 S Main St, Akron. Taking the kids to a minor league baseball game is fun and inexpensive, and always on our summer bucket list! 3 and under are free and adult and 4+ tickets are as low a $8. It's a small stadium so there really aren't any bad seats.

There are a couple fun things to do at the stadium for the kids, including a huge Inflatable double slide (though it is a dirty as it looks in the pictures ). Rides are $1/ slide. There's also a speed pitch challenge. Sundays are family fun day featuring pre- game activities for the kids. There are fireworks after the games on Friday and Saturdays. Mid-week games are generally not crowded but be prepared for a packed house and long lines on the weekends.

Unlike other minor league stadiums, there is no grassy area to sit on a blanket or for the kids to run around. There are several picnic tables along the third base line but no food or drinks are allowed to be brought into the park, but to be honest, they didn't even check my diaper bag. The stadium is right downtown so there are plenty of places to walk around nearby before or after the game and eat.

One big negative to the park is that there is no lactation room! I can't remember the last time I've been to a public place catering mostly to families that didn't offer a lactation room. They will, however, allow you to nurse in their first aid office. But, well, see the pictures

Akron RubberDucks , let's get up to speed with a lactation room!

They have 3 mascots including a huge Inflatable rubber duck, so if your kids love mascots, there's plenty to see!
